How to install MLSAC on a Minecraft server in 5 minutes

Step-by-step MLSAC installation for Paper, Spigot, Purpur and Folia: get a license, put the plugin in /plugins, add the API key and connect a preset.

1. Get a license and an API key

Sign up at mlsac.net, choose a plan (there is a free one) and add your server in the dashboard. The server card shows the API key the plugin will use.

2. Install the plugin

Download the MLSAC jar for your Java version (17 or 21), put it into the server’s plugins folder and start the server once so it creates plugins/MLSAC/config.yml.

3. Add the key

Open plugins/MLSAC/config.yml and paste the API key from the server card into api-key.

4. Connect a preset

On the website open Configs, create or open a preset and set up detection, alerts and punishments. Put the preset name into remote-config.preset in config.yml. From then on the plugin picks up every change from the website by itself.

5. Restart and check

Restart the server. Staff with the right permission see alerts in chat, and the dashboard shows the server online with its requests and detections.

FAQ

Do I need to edit config.yml for settings?
No. config.yml only holds the API key and the preset name; everything else is set on the website.
Does MLSAC update itself?
Yes, the plugin checks for stable updates automatically and installs the matching Java 17/21 build.
