Alerts
What your moderators see in chat when MLSAC suspects someone: alert lines, the sound, the console copy, and alerts from other servers in your network.
3 min
Alerts go to staff: players with mlsac.notify.alerts, mlsac.alerts or mlsac.admin (ops by default). You’re subscribed automatically a second after joining. Mute them for a while with /mlsac alerts; after a relog they come back.
The two kinds of lines
| Line | When it shows up |
|---|---|
| “Failed check” with the model and percentage | When the player’s buffer passes a third, two thirds and nearly all of its capacity, so you see it building up before the flag. |
| “Got VL” with the buffer | On every flag. The VL number goes up each time. |
You can change the texts and colours in the preset, under “Messages”, along with the language of the default texts.
Sound and console
- “Notification sound” plays for every subscribed moderator. Pick it under “Detection”; each sound shows the Minecraft version it appeared in. If your version doesn’t have it, the plugin falls back to the note block “ping”.
- “Also send to console” writes the same lines to the server console, handy if you keep punishment logs.
If you run a network
Give your servers the same server-identity.family and turn on interserver.enabled in config.yml. Staff on every server then see alerts from all of them, tagged with the source server’s server-identity.name. These alerts always go to the console too.
