Your first preset
All the anticheat settings live in a preset on the site. How to make one, hook it up to your server, and what to do if it doesn’t load.
Models, threshold, buffer, punishments, suppression, holograms, messages: you set all of it in a preset on the site. config.yml only keeps the preset’s name.
Making a preset
- 1Open “Configs”
Configs in the dashboard.
- 2“New preset”
Give it a name like
main: Latin letters, digits,-and_, up to 32 characters. - 3Go through the sections
“General”, “Models”, “Detection”, “Suppression”, “Messages”. The defaults already work, so you can start with them and tweak later.
- 4“Save”
main (it goes straight into the config.yml snippet) → a couple of settings → “Save” → “Copy”.Hooking it up
The server learns which preset to use from remote-config.preset in plugins/MLSAC/config.yml:
| Value | What happens |
|---|---|
"" (empty, the default) | If your account has exactly one preset, the server picks it up. With several or none you get a warning. |
"main" | Loads the preset with that name. It has to match the site letter for letter. |
"none" | No preset is loaded and the plugin runs on built-in settings. Admins keep getting a reminder. |
remote-config:preset: "main"
The server checks the site once a minute, so after “Save” your changes arrive on their own. Don’t want to wait? /mlsac reload and the preset comes in about two seconds later. Players’ buffers and VL aren’t reset.
If the preset didn’t load
Until a preset loads, operators and players with mlsac.admin see a warning like this in chat (and the console), with the reason:
How it looks in chat
The plugin’s real texts| Reason | Fix |
|---|---|
| No presets on the account | Make one under “Configs”. |
| Several presets on the account | Put the one you want into remote-config.preset. |
| Preset not found on the account | Check the name. It’s almost always a typo. |
config.yml says preset: none | Put in a preset name or leave it empty. |
